OUR STORY
Dog Lover's Dream
After many years of living in the heart of Manhattan (Chelsea), we moved with the pristine countryside of Litchfield county in Washington, Connecticut. We live on 7.5 acres of secluded, forested land with high arching oak trees and nature abounds. Dogs are part of country life and we welcome each of our furry friends. We always take into consideration their temperment, activity level, curiosity and fears.
Our Mini Australian Shepherd, Toshi, serves as the host extraordinaire! We are located close to several nature preserves and daily take our more active dogs on long walking adventures. We understand that not all dogs are ready for country life on their first visit, and therefore, also provide lots of cuddles and indoor mental stimulation. In the colder months, we have a large finished basement with both human and dog entertainment. All our furry friends are accompanied throughout the day and night.
We are not a traditional kennel or boarder. We select our clients with diligence to ensure that all humans and animals are safe and happy.
ABOUT US
We love dogs! They bring us happiness, but we also love to travel. We noticed there was a void of options for our own dogs while we were traveling, and therefore, we started CT Dogsitting.
We are happy family of four. After a long career in NYC, I'm now very happily focused on my family full-time. My husband is an avid hiker and loves to explore the Litchfield hills in the early morning before his work day begins at his home office. Both our children are animal lovers and keep busy schedules preparing for college, horseback riding, dancing and playing with our dogs. In sum, we are a happy family that welcomes your dogs into the fold as our own.
